To Many Goodbyes!

I knew with the end of the semester I would have to say goodbye to my friends in school, but I didn't know how hard it would really be. Meeting someone only 8 months ago feeling like you have been friends for a lifetime makes saying good bye for 3 months sound like its so hard!! The hardest goodbye came today, having to say goodbye to the kids at my work. I worked at an after school program where the kids are free to make whatever they want as long as it is art. Seeing the art they have made throughout the past semester, I feel like I have a little portion that is attached to them. All the projects I helped with.

This past weekend I got to experience my first Tulip Time. Being able to Dutch dance each day and be able to participate in a world record made the event amazing!! I look back and wonder where the time went. But I guess I look back on life period and wonder where it went! I always hold on to the people along the way holding on to the memories I had with each one. I wonder how many people remember any interactions with me and what they remember.

Can I go Home yet?

I remember from being a little kid never wanting to go back home after an event or being at a friends house. Well, I now that I have grown up, I am ready to go back home!! I am ready for my first year of college to be over! But it has been a great year full of memories with some great people!!

I have learned who are real friends, I have learned how to Dutch Dance, I have learned not to be afraid of making mistakes or messing up! I have enjoyed my first year of college but can't believe I will only be here for another 2.5 years!! It seems like I may spend the rest of my life here!!

I am excited to go back home and share with others about my first year of college! I am excited to see the Mississippi almost EVERYDAY!!! I am excited to be able to be near family again!! I am excited to be able to sleep in my own bed and possibly sleep until 1pm (yes, I do that). I am excited to be able to see all my friends that come to Nauvoo for the summer!! But I am not excited to have to be away from all of my new friends from school for a whole 4 months!!!
